This little wall of fabric hides where all the TRUE magic happens....behind the scene glimpse...shhhh
Believe it or not this is where a lot of the magic happens. Our showroom is 3,500 square feet, but the actual area where we design our flowers is only less than 1,000 square....when the event get larger we flow over into other areas of the showroom.

We have been infusing a lot of varierties of greenery into the centerpieces....it not the same old boring greenery you used to see in your mom's centerpieces. By using bear grass, lily grass or banana leafs you can create an entirely unique personality with you centerpieces. Here is a thought use banana leafs, wraps around a glass vase (use glue dots to hold in place.) Inside the vase you can just add a floating candle or go all out and do a mini centerpiece. Don't be afraid to twist and play with it use some of inside the vase or coming out of the top. If you have champagne glasses or wine glasses layng around this is another fun way to utlize what you already have.

Spring Wedding
Aaaahhhh! Spring is in the air. This wedding took place in mid March, while it was chilly outside, the flowers inside gave hope that spring was right around the corner. The bride selected colors that were pastel, soft and uplifting. A comibation of hydragea, roses, lisanthus and greenery brought this event to life. The ceremony took place in the same room as the reception. Giving the family a chance to stay united for the entire event. The staircase was accented with white tulle and lighting and tied with soft pink bows. The head table was also covered with tulle and ligthing. Our design staff was happy to see these color flowing out of the showroom. Now I can't wait until spring really happens.
Here are some photos of the wedding we designed, planned and executed in less than a week. The team was a hard at work making sure we were able to order quality flowers and execute a beautiful design. The challenge was fun and proved that we can pull things together in a very, very, very short amount of time. Normally a wedding takes 6 to 12 months to plan and execute in this case we were able to turn it over quickly. Don't get me wrong, this is not the ideal situation, but in the case of it was necessary to turn it over quickly. We loved this bride and felt honored to work on it day it night. Guess we have a good story to share that has a happy ending.

Sexy Candles
Who said candles were only romantic?Make your candle a little sexy with by adding some ribbon. Here we took an over sized candle, added a thick ribbon around 3/4 of the candle then added pins with silver pearl tips. Then take a smaller ribbon and criss-cross to make a corset look. Light the candle and viola you have a sexy candle. We used this particular design at a masquerade wedding.
Today is going fast
The day is just flying by, started with cold and ending with sunshine. It shows you...ya never know whatcha gonna get in Michigan. I am trying to restage the showroom and right now it is in the middle of chaos, stuff coming and going. Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to complete a masterpiece.

Laugh
I believe this to be true....
A day without laughter is a day wasted. Not sure who said that, but it's dead one.
Laugh, giggle and find your inner child.

Today was a day filled with inspiration. But now I have to scale back and select 2 or 3 of the 50,000 ideas I have floating in my head. I am finding that brides are looking for a great style but with a strict budget. This is a challenge I look forward to conquering. We have started doing our own chair covers and linen. It is new journey and I think it is a blessing. We have 7 chair cover styles and over 60 sashes. In April we are going to be running special promotions and pricing, check back to see how you can save big on your next special event.

Today the showroom was filled with over 1000 roses of several varieties, 100s hydrangea and calla lilies, lisianthus and many others. As I buzzed in and out handling the event logistics the team working diligently creating these amazing designs that could make your mouth drop. You can tell there is passion that runs in our blood, passion that is more than just creating a "centerpiece" it is about creating events that will burn in peoples memories years from now.

५०ंनिवेर्सर्य
Here are some photos of a recent 50th Anniversary we worked on.
Imagine that 50 years of marriage!!!!! Let me tell the groom was just a great guy! You can tell after all of these years he is madly in love with his wife. What a great family.
The decor focused on the the golden anniversary, infusing gold in the linen, chair covers and centerpieces. We used a combination of the hydrangea, roses and the slightest touch of gold spray on the flowers. Let me tell you the show was sticking to high heaven that day. It was 20 degrees outside and I had to open all the doors....uck! In the future I think I will just Mother Nature do her work on coloring the flowers. All and all it was beautiful.

Tuscany was in the air this weekend....fresh bay leaf, olive branches, loads of roses, hydrangea were on overload. This weekend Brady's had the pleasure of creating all of the beautiful design for the Hurley Ball which benefited the Pediatric Trauma Unit. This is another example of why I love my job. We had a chance to create beauty that directly benefited a charity right in our back yard. Every day the staff at the Hurley Foundation make effort to support those less fortunate. They live, breath and act in ways that make a difference in the lives. This year's effort was especially meaningful to me...I am always a die hard for support charities for children.
The evening was amazing and the setup was amazing. The fragrance from the flowers were so lovely that the kitchen staff kept coming out and saying we can smell it all the way back here. Funny thing, I was immune to the scent until I put it right under my nose. The design was a challenge and we stepped up create a work of wonder. The centerpieces base was made of fresh grape vine. Truly amazing!!!

Vavavoooom.....here comes the bride
We have been pretty busy and enjoying every moment of it. On February 12, 2009 we held our officially ribbon cutting ceremony, just in time for Valentine's Day...oh love is in the air. Earlier this month we submitted a press release which gave us the opportunity to be featured in a couple of news paper articles. Yeahhhhh! Here are some of the photos we took of Megan modeling some of our beautiful gowns. Megan is a wonderful floral designer, but on this particular day she was our personal model. What a natural, talking about striking a pose, she did it without prompt....vavavoommmmm, here comes the bride. This is just a glimpse of the gowns we carry. Visit our boutique and see what everyone is buzzzzzzing about.
